This programme helps students devemop critical thinking skills as applied to reading comprehension and writing.
 
Student will be taught to:

• Discriminate facts from opinions

• View issues from different perspectives

• Interpret data and visual texts to make inferences

• Identify primary data for summary and writing

• Analyse theme and objectives behind written pieces

• Discuss, debate and present their views on the topic for the day

 
Material used includes articles from newspapers and the Internet and journals which help broaden general knowledge. Topics include scientific and medical developments, environmental issues, social issues, current affairs as well as literature from different cultures.
