Early exposure to books and educational programmes in Singapore has resulted in the development of precocity in many of our children. Increasingly more preschoolers are able to read independently before primary school. The Eager Beaver English Enrichment Programme has been designed with such preschoolers in mind. The core objective of the programme is to complement the child's early reading ability by helping him develop greater facility in oral and writing skills.

 

Programme Features:

• Simple Comprehension and cloze passages designed to train thinking skills

• Phonics review exercises to improve pronunciation and spelling

• Simple grammar and vocabulary exercises to build a strong foundation in English Language

• Intermediate and advanced graded readers will be assigned for supervised reading sessions to improve diction and expression

• Guided writing exercises to enable the child to express ideas in written form

• Recitation of rhymes, story telling, and participation in simple plays to inculcate an enthusiasm for the language.
